Program Overview
"Demystifying the Aortic Root" Master Course provides didactic and hands-on training in all aspects of aortic root surgery. Surgeons will be trained by expert faculty that will help facilitate the development of the cognitive and technical skill-sets required for the competent performance of aortic root procedures. This two-day program will provide surgeons with the unique opportunity for multiple root implants, step by step, utilizing the ideal biological “simulators” of the pig heart and the implantation of both human aortic allografts and the On-X Aortic Heart Valve.
Intended Audience
This program is designed for practicing cardiac surgeons that have experience or have the desire to gain experience with the aortic root to facilitate the development of the cognitive and technical skill-set required for competent performance of aortic root procedures.
